Activities
In addition to caring for the residents in situ. Staff make the utmost effort to ensure the residents enjoy a fulfilling life in the community. They go on regular days out in the local area. An example of a day out maybe a trip to the bowling alley at bermuda park in Nuneaton followed by a nice meal at the Middlemarch Farm restaurant or McDonalds. Alternatively there may be shopping trips to Nuneaton and Bedworth town centres.
What is Life like?
From the outside, the house looks just like any other — and stepping inside, it feels that way too. It’s a comfortable, lived-in home where everyone has their own space and can relax, laugh, and feel completely at ease. While a few thoughtful adaptations have been made to support individual needs, they blend in seamlessly, keeping the home’s natural, welcoming feel.
It’s a place built around everyday living — cooking together, chatting in the lounge, or enjoying quiet time in the garden. Independence is encouraged, support is always nearby, and the atmosphere is one of warmth, respect, and belonging.
We accommodate.
At our homes, every week is shaped by the people who live here. We believe life should be full of choice, variety, and meaningful moments — and that everyone deserves the chance to decide what their days look like. That’s why activities are planned with each person, not for them. From a quiet afternoon baking at home to a trip to the cinema, a walk in the park, or visiting favourite places in the community, every plan starts with what the person enjoys most.
For those who use alternative ways to communicate, we use PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) cards to help map out the week together. These cards are created side by side with the person, using clear pictures and symbols to show what’s coming up — like “Monday: go to the cinema,” or “Wednesday: visit the park.” This makes it easier for everyone to understand, choose, and feel confident about their plans.
The process is as much about empowerment as it is about organisation. Each individual has a genuine voice in deciding how they spend their time, supported by staff who listen carefully, respect preferences, and encourage independence at every step. Plans are flexible too — if someone wants to change their mind, that’s completely fine. Life isn’t static, and neither are our routines.
We’re proud to create an environment where choice and individuality are celebrated. Whether it’s a fun day out or a calm evening in, the focus is always on what matters most to the person — helping them build confidence, enjoy new experiences, and live each day in a way that feels truly their own.
